Our Pledge

Rock Solid Cheer is committed to the safety, fairness, and inclusion of our greater cheerleading community. We believe that all participants have the right to a safe, healthy, and inclusive sports environment free of abuse, maltreatment, harassment, and discrimination.

We are committed to upholding our pledge towards the Responsible Coaching Movement [link: www.coach.ca/ResponsibleCoaching]. We continue to educate ourselves on Safe Sport practices and update our company policies so we can be transparent about our practices.

Our instructors are certified coaches that have completed coach requirements in their respective provinces. This certification process, across Canada, includes Respect in Sport and/or NCCP Safe Sport Training and NCCP Making Ethical Decisions. We are always researching better ways to uphold Responsible Coaching.

Rule of Two

The goal of the Rule of Two is to ensure all interactions and communications are open, observable and justifiable. Its purpose is to protect participants (especially minors) and coaches in potentially vulnerable situations by ensuring more than one adult is present.

At Rock Solid Cheer, we require at least one coach, or other program authority, to be present during all of our sessions in addition to our staff. This added layer of protection ensures transparency in our instruction and encourages open dialogue with our staff, athletes, and coaches.
